Bodhi resin (also known as white antler resin, an incense, Benzoin Siam) is the resin secreted from the stem of the Bodhi tree, scientifically known as Styrax tonkinensis, to dry naturally. Plastic is loose lumps, white, light yellow or light red, opaque, easy to break, nail can be traced. The crack looks like wax, off-white, turns yellow-brown for a long time, has a special vanilla aroma, mild after spicy and pungent taste. The resin is almost insoluble in water, partially soluble in ether, completely soluble in alcohol.
